Crochet Extra – November 2021

The silly season is almost here – and with it hopefully the ability for many of you to be with your families to celebrate Christmas this year.  It also means it is very busy on the roads – as we begin to travel again, but also with the increase in deliveries taking place.  During the lock down in many states deliveries of your orders were on average 3 weeks longer than usual.  We have been advised that they are catching up in NSW but to expect similar delays due to the upcoming Christmas rush.  So do get in early with your orders if you need these before Christmas.

This year we are introducing something new to spread the Christmas cheer. Would you like to join in our Twelve Makes of Christmas for some festive crochet fun?

Over 12 days we deliver to you 12 patterns to complete themed around Christmas – decorations for the tree and home and other useful items.  Each project has fun techniques that are suitable for beginners and up.  Each should be able to be completed in a day or two.

All you have to do to join in the fun is sign up and a kit with all the materials you need will be sent to you. The patterns and materials have a retail value of $126 – available for this month for just $100 (regular post) or $110 (express post).  So get in early while stocks last to make sure you get your ‘Twelve Makes of Christmas Kit’ in time to start 1st December.  See all the details here

This years Christmas books have all arrived – taking longer than usual.  You can see them all in our new section.  There are some fun looking patterns in these.

Our special weekend workshop making lanterns with Jill was a great success.  10 ladies enjoyed learning the process.  See more of the fun in our gallery.  Jill is publishing her patterns for sale soon and we will kits in store, so keep an eye out for these.

We will be closed for two weeks over the Christmas/New year Period.  Orders may still be placed via our website and these will be shipped in the week we return on the 10th.

This week we kick off our workshop for the ‘Snowy in a Tangle’ Christmas wreath. It’s not too late to join in – Mondays via zoom 7pm to 9pm – book here.  If you can’t join the workshops you can make this wreath by purchasing the complete kit (including the pattern) here.

In December we have three small projects to make as gifts for yourself or to use as stocking stuffers.  Each week is a separate project.  Book in for one or all of the weeks here.

Theme—Stocking Fillers

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year” and what better way to make sure it really is wonderful for yourself and your loved ones than to grab those crochet goodies and crafting must haves to stuff their Christmas Stockings full of festive fun.

Stocking fillers is our theme for November but by no means is it limited to stocking size. New pattern books, a bundle of yarn, crochet kits or new tools make wonderful gifts for crafty people.  We are always expanding our range of kits – and we have some starting from only $11 – There’s our newest edition, the Christmas handtowel kits or take a peek at our Kombi Tissue Box Cover Kit, Earring Kit, Mandala Kit, Dishcloth Kit or Keep it Together Tote Kit… just to name a few.

We have a cute range of Crochet or Knitter Coffee Mugs either on their own or as a prepacked gift. Make your loved one’s day by filling their stocking with their favourite yarn or even a mixture of different yarns …that will get their creative ideas flowing, not to mention they will love you forever.

One thing you can never go wrong with is Crochet Hooks. We sell a large range of ergonomic and arthritic style crochet hooks. They can be purchased individually or as a set. Clover Hooks are always popular due to their ease and comfort of use along with the way they glide through the yarn making your crochet time more enjoyable. We also recently welcomed individual hooks in the Tulip brand to compliment the beautiful Etimo Tulip Sets we sell where you also get scissors, tape measure, needles and a case to hold them all.
