Learn tunisian crochet and open up a whole new world of crochet stitches and creations.

In this months’ workshop we will learn 2 – 3 new tunisian stitches each week to create a sampler piece which can be turned into a scarf or a runner.  (You need to be able to crochet before beginning the class)

Each week builds on the previous week, and will explore the basic stitches, lace stitches, solid stitches and working with colour.   Hence – you book for the month rather than each week.  Online sessions will be recorded for those who are unable to attend and the link will be forwarded to them subsequent to the class.

Week 1 – Introduction to the tunisian needles and stitches, learn the tunisian simple stitch and tunisian knit stitch –  with technqiues for keeping the ends neat and finishing off.

Week 2 – Learn 2 new stitches – focusing on varying the take off row

Week 3 – Learn 2 new stitches – focusing on varying the take on row

Week 4 – Learn 2 new stitches – varying the take on and take off rows.

Week 5 – Learn 2 new stitches – varying the take on and take off rows

Materials:

8 ply yarn – acrylic or cotton or blends.  Recommend: Superb 8, Wren or Marble 3 colours.
6mm or 6.5mm tunisian hook minimum 20cm in length

Monday nights online – 7pm – 9pm.
Tuesday mornings in store – 9.30am – 11.30am
Wednesday evenings in store – 5.30pm – 7.30pm
